Welcome to the new blog!

When Dan and I first started discussing COMIC BOOK THINK TANK, before it even had a name, we thought of it as just a simple place where we could post some digital comics. Along the way we realized it had another potential use. After all, we both have years of experience in comics, publishing and digital media. There are likely things we’ve learned over the course of our careers, things we take for granted, that might actually be really helpful to others. If someone can learn from our experiences and tell better stories – fantastic! If we can give a little back to the comic industry – even better. Why wouldn’t we want to do that? There’s really no downside.

So with that in mind we’re very excited to launch this blog as a part of COMIC BOOK THINK TANK, where we hope it can serve as a destination for discussions about visual storytelling and what that means in an increasingly digital world.

To that end, this will also serve as the production blog for RELAUNCH and some of the other comics you’ll find on COMIC BOOK THINK TANK. Expect discussions about work in progress, the thinking behind some of our efforts and the creative process used to make the comics themselves. In fact, Dan already has a post queued up outlining the process he used for some of the RELAUNCH pages. That should go live later today.
